Alsachim and Biomaneo become Shimadzu Chemistry & Diagnostics

On April 1, 2025, Alsachim SAS and Biomaneo SAS merged to become Shimadzu Chemistry and Diagnostics. The announcement of the name of this new structure was made on April 8 in the presence of many local and international guests.

A MERGER SUPPORTED BY LOCAL PARTNERS… 

It is official, Alsachim SAS and Biomaneo SAS have merged to become Shimadzu Chemistry and Diagnostics. The announcement was made on April 8 during an inauguration ceremony of the new entity. Among the guests at this event were representatives of the Shimadzu group, including Mr. Masami Tomita, Executive Director and General Manager of the Analytical and Measuring Instruments Division of Shimadzu Corporation, and Mr. Yoshiaki Hirao, President of Shimadzu Europa GmbH.

Local partners were also present. All have supported Shimadzu Chemistry and Diagnostics – formerly Alsachim – in its development in the Grand Est region. This includes Mr. Levy, municipal councilor of the city of Illkirch, the President of ADIRA Mr. Riche, the President of CCI Alsace Eurométropole Mr. Heimburger, and the President of BioValley France Mr. Jenn. This event was also honored by the presence of the Consul General of Japan in Strasbourg, Mr. Hiroyuki Uchida.

The merger of these two European companies of the Shimadzu group aims to strengthen the activity of analytical and measurement reagents.

Alsachim and Biomaneo possess essential technologies for the growth of the group’s clinical liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) activity. The new company will foster synergies. It will also optimize development functions to meet customer needs and accelerate the global expansion of complete clinical solutions.
