This covers support for projects falling under the following <strong>five main themes<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>supporting <strong>sustainable agriculture<\/strong> through biocontrol, biofertilisation and precision farming<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>sustainable food <\/strong>through the use of organic ingredients, sustainable packaging and traceability<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>support for <strong>industrial ecology<\/strong> with the development of regional reference biorefineries<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>development of <strong>local energy strategies<\/strong> (self-consumption and bioenergy)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the use of <strong>bio-sourced materials<\/strong> with the emergence of new composite materials and the use of wood agriculture<\/strong> \/ 3 million hectares cultivated<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nearly <strong>50 000 farms<\/strong> (~ 10% of French farms)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>No. 1 <\/strong>in France for the production of <strong>cereals<\/strong> (1. 37 million ha), <strong>oilseed protein crops<\/strong>, <strong>vines<\/strong> (48,000 ha), <strong>hops <\/strong>and These are evenly distributed throughout the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Biorefineries are industrial facilities that convert crop crops and biomass into biofuel. They produce heat and power as well as value-added chemicals, biomaterials and even food products.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Focus on biorefineries in Eastern France<\/summary>\n<p>By bringing together the <strong>various actors in the life economy<\/strong>, these <strong>circular ecosystems<\/strong> make it possible to <strong>optimise the use of local biomass resources as raw materials<\/strong> and to make full use of it, both for food and industrial applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>One of the most integrated biorefineries in Europe<\/strong> is located at <strong>Pomacle Bazancourt,<\/strong> in the Marne region. Located a few kilometres from Reims, its particularity lies in its open industrial and innovation hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6 biorefineries of excellence in Eastern France have chosen to join the <strong>Club des biorefineries territorial du Grand Est<\/strong>. On the other hand, the competitiveness cluster<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.materalia.fr\/\">Materalia<\/a><\/strong>, which supports projects working for the <strong>energy transition around building materials<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the same time, Eastern France region trains engineers and researchers through its universities and public research bodies.
