{"id":16826,"date":"2025-08-20T11:53:17","date_gmt":"2025-08-20T09:53:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/international.grandestdeveloppement.fr\/?p=16826"},"modified":"2026-01-21T09:26:02","modified_gmt":"2026-01-21T08:26:02","slug":"cosmethic-valley-champagne","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/international.grandestdeveloppement.fr\/en\/cosmethic-valley-champagne\/","title":{"rendered":"A New Cosmetics Valley Emerging in Southern Champagne"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>With the arrival of the logistics company ID Logistics and the cosmetics firm Clarins in recent months, Southern Champagne is <strong>strengthening its position as an emerging territory in the cosmetics sector<\/strong>, inspired by the model of the Cosmetic Valley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">New Facilities Strengthening the Cosmetics Ecosystem<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of May 2025, the <strong>cosmetics ecosystem in Southern Champagne<\/strong> expanded with the arrival of <strong>LVMH\u2019s logistics provider<\/strong> at the Aube logistics park. The internationally renowned French group <strong>ID Logistics<\/strong> confirmed the opening of its automated distribution center. For now, the company will cover more than <strong>26,000 m\u00b2<\/strong>, which will expand on <strong>32,000 m\u00b2 by 2027<\/strong>. This project represents an investment of <strong>\u20ac45 million<\/strong> and will create around <strong>100 jobs<\/strong>. The center will be exclusively dedicated to the <strong>storage and distribution of Christian Dior perfumes<\/strong> for European markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tthis new facility strengthens the cosmetics ecosystem in <strong>Southern Champagne (Grand Est)<\/strong>. In <strong>November 2024<\/strong>, cosmetics giant <strong>Clarins<\/strong> inaugurated its new production site\u2014<strong>the second largest in the world!<\/strong>\u2014in <strong>Sainte-Savine<\/strong>, near <strong>Troyes<\/strong>. The company invested <strong>\u20ac135 million<\/strong> in this new factory to <strong>double its production capacity<\/strong>. However, the support from local organizations like <strong>Business Sud Champagne<\/strong>\u2014both for the site setup and employee recruitment\u2014 made the difference. \u201c<em>We were looking for a large plot of land in a region already committed to sustainable development, with available workforce<\/em>,\u201d explains <strong>Nicolas Mithouard<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of course, <strong>ID Logistics, Christian Dior Perfumes, and Clarins<\/strong> are not the only companies to have joined the <strong>Southern Champagne cosmetic ecosystem, often called the &#8220;New Cosmetic Valley<\/strong>&#8220;. Other internationally renowned firms, such as <strong>Mondial Relay<\/strong> and <strong>Panattoni<\/strong>, have indeed also chosen the <strong>Aube logistics park<\/strong> recently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is largely due to the region\u2019s proximity (less than <strong>2 hours<\/strong>) to the so called <strong>Cosmetic Valley<\/strong>. This ecosystem represents &#8211; at the present time &#8211; the world\u2019s leading network in perfumery and cosmetics. It is for example known for its industrial sector, research ecosystem in cosmetology, and training opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"574\" src=\"https:\/\/international.grandestdeveloppement.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/AdobeStock_1295522034-1024x574.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-16831\" srcset=\"https:\/\/international.grandestdeveloppement.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/AdobeStock_1295522034-1024x574.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/international.grandestdeveloppement.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/AdobeStock_1295522034-300x168.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/international.grandestdeveloppement.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/AdobeStock_1295522034-768x430.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/international.grandestdeveloppement.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/AdobeStock_1295522034-1536x861.jpeg 1536w, https:\/\/international.grandestdeveloppement.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/AdobeStock_1295522034-2048x1148.jpeg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Chanvri\u00e8re: A major player in this New Ecosystem<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With over <strong>750 partner producers<\/strong> and <strong>13,000 hectares<\/strong> cultivated around Troyes, <strong>La Chanvri\u00e8re<\/strong>  processes <strong>55% of French hemp<\/strong> and <strong>20% of European hemp<\/strong>, making it a <strong>European leader in industrial hemp<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the many applications of hemp: <strong>cosmetics<\/strong>. Today, La Chanvri\u00e8re is a key supplier to cosmetics brands, thanks to hemp\u2019s numerous benefits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <strong>quality of the seeds<\/strong> allows first-processing workshops to extract <strong>premium oil<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <strong>sustainability of La Chanvri\u00e8re<\/strong> and the <strong>consistency of its seed characteristics<\/strong> ensure <strong>reliable long-term supply<\/strong> and <strong>stable formulations<\/strong> for finished products.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The strengthening of the cosmetics ecosystem in close proximity to the <strong>European leader in industrial hemp<\/strong>.
