TOUL – Atypical heritage site, available for the creation of a 3 or 4* hotel
On the map
Description :
Located 40 minutes from Nancy and on the outskirts of an exceptional natural setting formed by the loops of the Moselle and the Côtes de Toul, Toul is a medium-sized city (16 113 inhabitants) that seeks to boost its tourism. A historic city, it is built around an intramural centre surrounded by ramparts that house several prestigious heritage elements such as St Etienne’s Cathedral, St Gengoult’s Collegiate Church and the former Episcopal Palace.
To date, the offer of hotels is very limited in the city centre of Toul. Potential has been confirmed for a 3-4 star hotel project positioned in the business and leisure segments and offering a differentiating offer of good quality. With this in mind, the City of Toul has identified the heritage site of the former Casemates Saint-Cyr as suitable for the development of this type of offer.
Owned by the city, the site of the former Casemates Saint-Cyr is located at the southern entrance of the city centre of Toul, within the walls built by Vauban surrounding the city. It is adjacent to the medieval-inspired Moselle Gate.
Consisting of 8 “sites” on a ground floor and a floor for a real area of 1,608 m², this site could be converted into a hotel with up to 15 rooms ranging from 33. 8 m² to 44. 9 m².
