Exclusive Call for Projects at Strasbourg Airport (67)
On the map
Description :
Strasbourg Airport is launching a call for projects to identify a company or economic operator willing to develop its business on a prime, developable plot of approximately 4 hectares, located at the main entrance of the airport platform.
This opportunity is aimed at selecting a project leader capable of delivering a robust and sustainable economic project, fully aligned with the airport’s strategic development objectives. Priority will be given to projects that support industrial, technological, production, logistics, craft or tertiary activities, contribute to local economic growth, enhance the attractiveness of the airport platform, and comply with the specific regulatory framework of airport public land.
Site Overview
- Location: Strasbourg Airport, France
- Municipality: Holtzheim
- Cadastral reference: Section 15, plot no. 364
- Total surface area: 39,882 m² (approx. 4 hectares)
- Zoning: UXe2
- Expected uses:
- Industrial and production activities
- Technological and innovation-driven projects
- Tertiary and craft activities
- Logistics-related developments
A functional link with airport activities (aviation, logistics, services to the platform) is encouraged but not mandatory.
Legal Framework
This call for projects is published in accordance with Article L.2122-1-1 of the French General Code of Public Property, which provides for a prior selection procedure before granting temporary occupation rights on public land for economic activities.
The selected project will lead to the signature of a Temporary Occupation Agreement (Autorisation d’Occupation du Domaine Public – AODP / COT), conferring real rights to enable development and operation on the site.
In the event that the plot is subdivided and several agreements are signed over the same land, a principal occupant will be designated. This entity will act as the sole point of contact for the airport authority and will be responsible for the administrative, legal and financial coordination of any sub‑occupants, as well as for the protection and compliance of the occupied public land.
Duration of Occupation
The duration of the Temporary Occupation Agreement will be defined from 1 July 2026, based on the nature of the proposed project and the operator’s development needs. A minimum duration may be proposed depending on the level of investment.
As the airport concession expires in 2050, the future occupant will have the possibility to renegotiate the terms and duration of occupation at the time of concession renewal, in order to ensure the long‑term continuity of its activities on site.
Fees and Financial Conditions
In return for the occupation of airport public land, the operator will pay an occupation fee to Strasbourg Airport.
Applicants are encouraged to submit innovative financial proposals, potentially combining:
- a fixed annual fee, and
- a variable component, linked to performance indicators such as site usage, mobilized airport services, and the economic benefits generated for the airport ecosystem.
