Description :
PROPERTY DESCRIPTION
This former healthcare center located in the hills above Masevaux, in the heart of the Doller Valley, combines a rich historical heritage with significant development potential.
Initially intended as a vacation retreat for the wealthy, the estate originally consisted of a hunting lodge. The site is marked by historical figures such as the industrialist Nicolas Koechlin and the Dutch baron Louis Burckhard van Heeckeren, who acquired it in 1820 and whose adopted son Georges-Charles de Heeckeren d’Anthès is known for having fought a duel with the Russian poet Alexander Pushkin. After the baron’s death in 1884, the château was converted into a luxury hotel that was very popular until the early 20th century, before being converted into a hospital complex dedicated to the health of convalescents.
Close to the center of Masevaux, major roads, and direct access to hiking trails. Exceptional, unobstructed views of the valley, peaceful and attractive setting a stone’s throw from the Ballon d’Alsace and the outdoor activities of the Vosges mountains, ideal for projects focused on well-being or health.
