
Yanmar: new jobs in our Region
With the market in full growth, the site of the Yanmar company, which specialises in the manufacture of compact excavators in Saint-Dizier, is rolling out a new development project that will lead to the creation of almost 200 jobs by 2026.
Doubling of production at the Saint-Dizier site
The creation of new models of compact excavators and the relocation to Saint-Dizier of machines that are currently manufactured in Japan will lead to a doubling of Yanmar’s production in Saint-Dizier. “The aim is to increase production from the current 23 machines per day to 50 by 2026,” says Jean-Ybes Béal, site manager. The world’s leading manufacturer of compact construction machinery expects to grow by 30-30% by 2023 and plans to recruit a wide range of talent to meet the growing demand and increase production.
The Saint-Dizier site will also temporarily take over part of its production in 2022 as the factory in Japan is closed.
