Thales Expands Operations while Remaining in Troyes to Support Growth
To meet the growing needs of the aerospace sector, Thales is relocating its Troyes centre of excellence… within Troyes.
A Centre of Excellence Experiencing Strong Growth
“Troyes is our centre of excellence. Activity has doubled in three years—this is unprecedented in the aerospace industry!” emphasizes Nicolas Bonleux, Vice President of Aerospace Communications at Thales.
Established in Troyes since 1974, Thales, a major player in the aerospace industry, is currently experiencing significant growth.
Specializing in cockpit connectivity solutions and electronics for aviation, space, defense, and cybersecurity, the facility in Troyes manufactures equipment found in numerous Airbus, Boeing, and Dassault Aviation Rafale cockpits. These systems ensure aircraft connectivity with the outside world and optimize flight paths to reduce fuel consumption and carbon footprint.

€10 Million Investment to Build a New Plant in Troyes
“After pushing the walls for so long, we concluded that a move was necessary,” summarizes Nicolas Bonleux.
To meet growing demand, Thales is leaving the Écrevolles district, where it has been located since 1983, to join companies like Clarins, Garnica, and Maison Jean Rousseau leather goods in the Grand Troyes Business Park.
The company has invested €10 million in this relocation, doubling the size of its facility from 2,700 m² to 5,000 m². The new site, operational in 2026, will meet environmental standards and offer improved amenities for employee comfort.
